Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how App on Tap collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, including VoiceXP.

1. Information Processed on Your Device

  • App usage information, such as lesson progress, game outcomes, and settings.
  • Optional profile information you enter in the app (for example, profile names, goals, age).
  • This data is stored locally on your device using app local storage (AsyncStorage).

2. Subscriptions

VoiceXP uses Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) in-app purchase systems to manage subscriptions and restore purchases. Payment and subscription status are handled by the store, and we do not receive or store your payment details.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store or Play Store settings. For iOS users, subscriptions are also governed by Apple's standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. See our Terms of Use for full subscription terms.

We do not use third-party subscription middleware or analytics services for in-app purchases. We also do not use third-party analytics or advertising in the app.

3. Email & Customer Support

If you contact us for support or feedback (e.g. via email or in-app feedback), we may receive and retain your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to you and to improve the app experience. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.

From time to time we may invite users to voluntarily participate in surveys or feedback forms hosted by third-party services (such as Google Forms). Participation is optional and responses are used only to improve the app and understand user experiences.

4. What We Do Not Collect

App on Tap does not collect or store your local progress data, profile data, or lesson activity data on App on Tap servers.

5. Microphone Permission

VoiceXP requests microphone access to power voice-based activities and real-time interaction features inside the app.

  • Microphone access is used only for in-app voice functionality.
  • Audio is processed in the app experience and is not retained by App on Tap servers.
  • You can disable microphone permission in your device settings.
  • If microphone access is disabled, some voice features may not work.

6. On-Device Speech Recognition & Profanity Filtering

Some activities may use on-device speech recognition to interpret spoken words and may apply an on-device profanity filter to block certain unsafe words. These features are designed to run locally on your device using your microphone input.

Limitations: Speech recognition and profanity filtering are not perfect. They may miss words (including in foreign languages), mis-hear words, or fail to detect certain malicious tricks. Do not rely on these features as a safety guarantee.

We do not upload your microphone audio to App on Tap servers for speech recognition or profanity filtering.

7. Optional Location & Practice-Place Reminders

VoiceXP may offer an optional feature that uses your device location to send gentle reminders to practice voice exercises when you arrive at places a parent or caregiver has saved in the app (for example, school or a friend’s house).

  • This feature is off unless a parent or caregiver turns it on in the app and grants location permission.
  • When enabled, the app may use location in the background so geofenced regions you choose can trigger reminders. We do not use location to continuously track your movement or to build a location history on App on Tap servers.
  • Practice places, coordinates, reminder preferences, and related session notes tied to this feature are stored locally on your device (for example, in app local storage). App on Tap does not receive your GPS coordinates, saved places, or geofence events on our servers for this feature.
  • Your device’s operating system may use location services according to its own terms; that processing is governed by Apple or Google as applicable, not by App on Tap.
  • You can turn off this feature in the app and revoke location permission in your device settings at any time.

8. How Information Is Used

  • To run app features on your device.
  • To personalize activity flow and track progress locally on your device.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Retention

App usage and profile data are stored locally on your device. App on Tap does not retain this local user data on its servers.

11. Children and Family Use

Our products may be used by children with family supervision. We design experiences to minimize unnecessary data collection and follow applicable platform policy requirements.

12. Your Choices

  • You can revoke app permissions (including microphone and location) at any time in device settings.
  • You can stop using the app at any time.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
